The Right Ways To Deal With Google's Panda And Penguin

By Alcia Wong

As one of the leading search engines, Google works hard to give Internet users the most relevant answers to their searches. It constantly changes its algorithms to ensure that only the websites that publish quality content appear in the search results. To deal with these changes, website owners need to reformulate their SEO Singapore strategies, otherwise they would see their rankings and traffic going down.

SEO Singapore On Google's Panda And Penguin

In 2011, the tech giant introduced its major search engine upgrade named the Panda. The title sounds cute, but this development is actually a relentless project that significantly removed undesirable websites in Google's search results. The Panda saw sites, especially those that stuff keywords and generate irrelevant content, go down the rankings.

This 2012, Google once again made another algorithmic change which it named the Penguin. Its purpose is to lower further the rankings of sites that abuse optimization techniques. Google does not disclose any details about what the Penguin does, but what is sure is that it punishes websites that actively employ improper SEO tricks just to rank high on search result lists.

SEO Singapore Overhaul

Google is blatant about discouraging site owners from using techniques that don't benefit users. The rules are easy: publish original content, don't hide or stuff keywords, and do not use linking schemes. Website owners in Singapore should focus more on giving users the information they need -factual articles, in-depth studies, original ideas, compelling media, and so on.

Sites with correct titles, tags, descriptions, organization, and web design are certain to make the user experience convenient and fulfilling. They are also friendly to search engines since web crawlers find them easier to crawl, identify, and classify. To remain on top of Google's results, website owners should highly consider modifying their SEO Singapore campaigns.
