3 Elements Your Custom Logo Designs Should Not Include

By Qurrat Hassan

Few days back I posted an article about what elements should be a part of your high quality business logos and how they fulfill your business needs. Logo designs are believed to be your company representative but it’s also true they possibly can’t tell your customers the whole story of your business. To make your business representative easily understandable you must keep your logo concept simple so they can transfer the right message. If you take a look on some of the history making logos such as logos of Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Ford or Nokia, you will notice how simple, sophisticated and readable they are.

If you believe that some features must be a part of your design then are also some features that should not be included in your high quality business logos. Yet, logo design companies get requests from their clients to include these elements in their logo designs and but also keep the design simple, brief and comprehensive. To help these businesses to get a simple logo, here is a list of 3 elements that your logo should not include.

The Legal phrases Inc., Corp, LLP or LLC: Many companies want to tell their customers that they incorporated a business or they formed a enterprise. To make this info public, these clients want to include these legal phrases in their logo design. But as a matter of fact these logos should only be a part of legal documents and adding them to your logo worth nothing but cluttering your logo needlessly. These phrases might bother your customers and make it complex. So it's better to leave them off.

Tag Lines: Many clients are of the view that tag lines are an essential part of overall best logo designs; it’s because they become used to see every other logo having a tag line. But it’s not always helpful. Taglines are a tricky way of attracting customers but they don’t offer any extra rewards when added to your logo. Your tag lines change as per business and marketing needs while you cannot modify your logo so often. Logos excluding tag lines are easily memorable and less complex.

Business Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Websites: Even if you plan not to change your business place, phone number and web link for the next 10 years, but still these things should not be included in your custom logo designing. Your logo simply represent your products and services and adding these contact info just mess your logo. If your customers see too many things in your logo, it becomes more difficult for them to memorize your design. And if they see little information it becomes easier and faster for them to remember your business identity.
